「コンセント」「SLEEK」(=滑らかな、艶のある)という二つのワードを元にプロダクトをデザインする。既存のコンセントについて様々なリサーチをし、ポジティブな点・ネガティブな点を背景に形の探求を行う。
Know your existing products

I design products based on the two words "outlet" and "SLEEK". I did various research on existing outlets and explored their shapes with both positive and negative points in the background.

既存のコンセントについてリサーチする中で、見た目が悪い、かさばるなど表に見せたくない道具という意見が多かった。「 SLEEK」というワードからコンセントのエラーを補う形を探した。滑らかな、光沢のあるという意味から連想したのは鮮やかな魚の尾ビレ。そこで形の検証を行い、尾ビレの傘でアダプタ部分を隠せるようなデザインで製作。円形の形をしたコンセントタップは円卓や机の中心に置いた時に四方から挿せるコンセントは敢えて見せるためのデザインにすることでエラーを補う形を追求した。

While researching the existing outlets, many people said that they were tools that they didn't want to show off, such as unsightly and bulky. From the word "SLEEK", I looked for a form that would compensate for the error in the outlet. I associated it with the meaning of smooth, shiny, and bright fish tail fins. After verifying the shape, I created a design that allows the adapter part to be hidden by the tail fin umbrella. The circle-shaped outlet tap is designed to compensate for errors by daring to show the outlet that can be plugged in from all four sides when placed in the center of a round table or desk.
